Serie A: Inter and Sneijder negotiations fail over wages, Mourinho won’t stop Kaka going for the Nerazzurri (Part 1)
The much dreaded moment for the Nerazzurri has arrived and it could be the farewell of one of their best players from the Italian club, Wesley Sneijder.
Sources have revealed that the star Dutch midfielder is feared to be lost by the Italian club after negotiations over his renewed contract failed.
It is said that the new deal confirms a longer stay of Wesley Sneijder at Inter Milan but the matter has been lost when the 26 year old Snejider’s future wages came in to play.
Club officials have confirmed that for now the negotiations that would have resulted in Snejider’s stay with the San Siro based club have turned to futility when the matter hit rock bottom and neither the board nor the player had
anything more to discuss.
They also informed that this can’t be called as the final attempt to solve matter and therefore the possibility of another round of negotiations prevails.
Right now the tension between the management and the world class Dutchman, Sneijder is intense. Early rumours before FIFA 2010 World Cup 2010 gave a picture that Sneijder might be leaving Inter Milan for Manchester United, Real
Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City, Juventus or Barcelona. Manchester United was the team that had the upper hand with a bid placed already along with stronger intentions of signing the player.
Officials from Inter described that the talks between Sneijder and the current Italian Champions had been going on for some time now but this most recent round of negotiations has evaporated all patience from the Netherlands’ international.
Right now Snejider is being paid 4 million pounds a year, however Snejider demands at least 6 and a half million pounds annually. In response the San Siro board is failing to commit to the cause.
In the latest talks the Inter Milan board cut off Snejider’s demands brutally with a sharp knife leaving the player on no grounds to make a comeback for his request. Now pundits are expecting that the time for Snejider to make
a move is upon more than ever before.
Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson has always showed respect for the player and praised his qualities therefore Old Trafford could be a possible choice as the Red Devils are looking for a new talented midfielder however the player is receiving interesting
offers from Spain too.
For instance, Barcelona’s coach Pep Guardiola has uttered that he might be a candidate in signing the former Ajax player.
Nonetheless the club from Spain that is most likely to get him is Real Madrid, where his former manager Jose Mourinho is coaching these days. In his tenure with Inter Milan, the Portuguese Mourinho bought Snejider from Real Madrid
after he failed to perform for Los Blancos.
With Inter, Snejder was able to help the club reach a treble and win the Champions League. In the FIFA 2010 World Cup too the player’s performance was brilliant as he assisted Netherlands to reach the final of the tournament in
South Africa where they were defeated by Spain.
