Serie A News: Jose Mourinho interested in signing Wesley Sneijder again - Part 1
The Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder has received another calling from his former boss Jose Mourinho, who has left San Siro for Bernabeu where he is managing Real Madrid these days.
The player’s agent has revealed that he received a message from the legendary Portuguese coach that he would like to reacquire the 26 year old world class Dutch attacking midfielder.
This will be quite an interesting development if the player manages to complete the shift. The Italy to Spain transfer will mean that the former Ajax player will rejoin a club that he once used to play for.
Previously Sneijder had been transferred from Los Blancos to the Nerazzuri mainly because of his lack of performance at the club. The player had scored 56 goals in 174 matches which took the fancy of Spanish giants.
However at Real Madrid the player featured in 64 matches and scored just 11 goals that ultimately lead the manager to transfer him out of the club. Mourinho saw the potential in him and sought to sign him ultimately becoming successful.
At Inter Milan Sneijder has been the pivotal factor for them especially in the midfield as he plays the role of a holder as well as an attacking midfielder. For the Nerazzurri the midfielder has scored 9 goals in 45 matches.
All summers it was rumoured that the player would be making a move to another club and interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus and Real Madrid was rife particularly after the arrival of Jose Mourinho.
Jose Mourinho departed from San Siro on a very peculiar note. The management of Inter Milan was obviously infuriated at him for leaving after successfully taking the club to win a treble that included the Champions League title.
That was not the swan song of Mourinho however and if it was it was certainly sung by a very mean ugly duckling. After his arrival at Real Madrid, Mourinho formulated a dream team that included players that he desired from all
over the world. With the amount of money he possesses at Real Madrid the coloured papers won’t certainly be an issue.
This happened after Inter Milan were paid extra for the departure of Mourinho who had signed a long term contract with them. The smug uncaring manager however included players like Diego Milito, Maicon and Sneijder in his squad
and tried to lure them in shamelessly.
Nonetheless he has been unsuccessful in doing so and therefore had to opt for his plan B that included snatching players from other clubs. After the World Cup where the Dutch international, Sneijder, performed brilliantly rumours
of his transfer were sparked up even more.
The manager of Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson had even made an unofficial bid for him. The Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti however was even a step ahead of him. The Italian manager was desperate to sign in a new player after
he said his goodbyes to veterans of the club, Joe Cole, Michael Ballack, Juliano Belletti and Deco.
Still the bid by Ancelotti was refused with controversial statements being mouthed from the Dutch midfielder. Early in the summers he had stated that he would like a move if the offer is attractive but later in the season he stated
he is content with his place at Inter Milan and therefore he would like to stay.
