Serie A Preview: A.C Cesena vs. Lazio- Which team will end the struggle?
Cesena will host Lazio in an important Serie A encounter at the Stadio http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dino-c11319 Manuzzi on Wednesday, September 21st, 2011.
Both teams have had a poor start to the 2011/12 Serie A season and have gone winless in their opening two games of the ongoing campaign. Cesena lost their opening league game 3-1 to Napoli at home, while they lost 1-0 to Catania
over the weekend.
On the other hand, Lazio squandered a two goal lead against A.C Milan to draw 2-2 in their opening league fixture and lost 2-1 to Genoa after taking the lead at the weekend.
Cesena
Marco Giampaolo’s side marginally survived relegation in the 2010/11 season and find themselves in the danger zone very early this time around. The Seahorses won the corresponding fixture 1-0 last season and will look to repeat
the last season’s heroics.
The hosts have signed some quality players during the summer but they have failed to influence their team thus far. Despite a poor start, manager, Giampaolo remains defiant and has urged the senior players to take the responsibility.
The tactician said, “With already established players you only need to say few things, while with the other ones you always need to do something more.”
Lazio
The Biancazzurri have been under the media highlights since the 2-1 defeat to Genoa over the weekend. Manager, Edy Reja, handed his resignation to the Club President, Claudio Lotito, following the fans’ poor behaviour after the
defeat at the weekend. However, the Lotito rejected it and has urged the fans and players to fully support the tactician.
Reja revealed, “Unfortunately, I don't have a good feeling with the fans, this is now ascertained. They do nothing but criticise. I'm tired of it and the President knows it.”

Players to Watch
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adrian-Mutu-c3742 (Cesena)
The Romanian international has had a disappointing start to his Cesena career and has failed to score in the opening two games. The fans have a lot of expectations from the former Fiorentina striker and he must start delivering
sooner rather than later.
Djibril Cisse (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775)
The Frenchman will be the main man for Edy Reja’s team after a good start to the season. The striker scored a lovely goal against Milan and had a decent game against Genoa. The former Olympique Marseille star has formed a wonderful
partnership with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miroslav-Klose-c26049 and has been really inspirational in the attack.
Prediction
Bettor.com predicts a tight game given the form of both teams and the intensity of recent contests. The unsettling atmosphere at the Biancazzurri camp might provide the hosts with an advantage and they could sneak
a close win. Verdict: 1-0
