The legendary Argentine equalled Giuseppe Bergomi’s club record of 519 appearances and he was presented with an honorary shield by the club president Massimo Moratti. In truth, the president will never be able to repay his years and years of fiercely loyal service.
The occasion might have been special for the Calcio legend, but that is not the reason Zanetti made it to the list. Playing as a holding midfielder, Zanetti lets precious little get past him. His industrious performance, despite being 37 years of age laid the foundation for his attack minded players to run riot.
Inter Milan’s mid-season revival continued with a 4–1 demolition of Bologna FC on 16 January and Zanetti had a huge, yet understated, part to play in the triumph.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ruben-Olivera-c31847 (UC Lecce)
Along with goalkeeper Rosati, Olivera was a real star against AC Milan. Where the Uruguayan was a constant nuisance in the attack, he was an ever-present rock when Rossoneri attacked the Lecce rearguard. It was a complete performance that was capped off with an excellent volleyed goal.
Olivera managed to get the better of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Nesta-c4735 on multiple occasions, including the goal and that is praise in itself. Giallorossi will need more performances like this from their experienced veterans if they are to avoid the drop this season. With the home draw against AC Milan, Luigi De Canio’s men are surely on the right track.

‘Form is temporary and class is permanent’. The Bianconeri legend is epitome of this saying. Juventus FC welcomed bottom placed AS Bari on the weekend. Many expected Galletti to roll over for the Old Lady of Italian football. However, Giampiero Ventura’s men gave Juve a good run for their money. Despite dominating most of the possession, Del Neri’s men were unable to break a resilient Galletti backline, which was until Del Piero turned up.
The continentally adored legend showed sublime technique and curled in one gem of a free kick past a hapless Jean-François Gillet in the Bari goal. Where his goal was a treat to watch, Del Piero turned back years with an exuberant performance, where he gave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicola-Belmonte-c27748 no end of trouble.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (AC Milan)
The lanky Swede can justifiably be called Mr. Serie A, such has been the dominance enjoyed by the Rossoneri ace over Serie A defences. AC Milan travelled to Lecce to face relegation threatened Giallorossi and a routine victory was expected, but a determined Lupi proved that they are no pushovers. AC Milan had to be content with a draw.
Without http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 to open the scoring. The goal is simply too good for words.
Rossoneri lead the Calcio charts by four points and they have their talismanic Swede to thank for that. Had it not been for his match-winning contributions, Milan would not have been in the top four even.
