Atalanta 4-1 Roma – Sunday, February 26th, 2012
Luis Enrique was hoping that his side would continue their impressive form in their trip to the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia. However, their hopes were crushed by an emphatic display from the Atalanta side. The
match saw two players sent off for the Giallorossi.
La Dea seemed hungrier from the word go, and threatened to break the deadlock in the early minutes, when Guido Marilungo’s shot struck against the post. Nevertheless, the Atalanta man was more decisive in
his finishing minutes later, as he leapt onto a through ball from German Denis to open the scoring. In a great counter attacking move, the host’s scored another goal after Denis finished with aplomb after a lovely one-two with Maxi Moralez.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Borini-c13163 was on hand to prod home the first Giallorossi goal in the 36th minute.
Any hopes of a Roman comeback were quashed by resurgent Denis, who scored within two minutes of the resumption of the second-half.  However, Roma seemed out of sorts and their frustration was highlighted,
as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denis-c10837 completed his hat-trick in a cheeky manner, looping the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper.
La Maggica’s second man got sent-off after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Cassetti-c23682 was involved in a disagreement with the official.
Lazio 1-0 Fiorentina – Sunday, February 26th, 2012
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 limped to a close fought win against La Viola at Stadio Olimpico Rome.  The Biancazzurri players gave Edy Reja something to smile about in a turbulent period for the club.
Reja has not hidden the fact that his side has been affected by numerous injuries within their squad. He did not have many options to select, with a lot of his players spending time on the sidelines due to
injury layoffs.
The Biancocelesti were negative in their approach, playing very defensively in the opening exchanges of the match, in particular, they were looking to cancel out the threat posed by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stevan-Jovetic-c34163.
Lazio forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miroslav-Klose-c26049, was finding it hard to make his mark in the game, and it was evident that the lack of choices for Reja played a huge part in their game plan.
The first 30 minutes of the match produced no entertainment, as neither of the two keepers was tested. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hernanes-c16150 produced a moment of magic, as Klose met a pass from the Brazilian before rounding the goalkeeper
to make it 1-0 for the Biancocelesti.
The game became more enterprising after the goal, but none of the two sides could end up finishing off their moves.
