Olympique Marseille coach Didier Deschamps has set his eyes on Juventus striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Amauri-c5381, according to reports in French media. The former Juventus coach wants some class in the offence and the 31-year-old will definitely add some of his experience
to OM.
Amauri was on-loan at Parma for the second half of the 2010/11 season and scored 7 goals in just 11 appearances. The Brazilian-born striker is a complete modern day centre-forward with an array of skills at his disposal.
His great control over the ball and his excellent aerial ability makes him unpredictable in the box. The Italian international is also a good reader the game, while his hold-up play is second to none.
Deschamps has been in search of a top class striker since last season. He chased after the Brazilian Luis http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Gilardino-c4324, but failed to acquire their services. The French tactician had to accept Andre-Pierre Gignac
and Loic Remy. While Remy impressed in his first stint with Les Phoceens, Gignac was far from being a success.
With high hopes, the former Juventus coach might target the Bianconeri striker and be hopeful of bringing the 31-year-old to Stade Velodrome. However, with limited financial resources, the Marseille management might not be able to satisfy Deschamps this
season either.
According to transalpine publication, Marseille will still keep the Serie A striker under their radar. Amauri’s agent confirmed the interest of Marseille in the striker, saying, "Marseille are one of the teams interested and took the information. Things
may settle down."
