Just when it seemed that the Rossoneri’s continued efforts might be able to find an end product, Zlatan Ibrahimovic drew a controversial figure after the referee adjudged him to have slapped Napoli defender, Salvatore Aronica.
The Swede was shown a red card, and is set to miss the next three games for the Italian Champions.
Cavani had a brilliant chance to score and make their numerical advantage count in the 71st minute, but the Uruguayan sent his header over the bar.  
Both teams continued their efforts to find the winner, but all in vain, as they drew blanks in an entertaining encounter.
