The game lacked fluency in the middle periods of the second half as neither of the two teams could hold onto possession for long.
Milan started to bombard the visiting defence with some lovely attacking moves. First, Abate played a lovely cross to Cassano from the right but the former Sampdoria star left it for Seedorf but only for him to scoop his shot over the bar.
Minutes later, Cassano controlled a lovely ball and let fly a powerful strike which was nicely parried away by the goalkeeper for a corner.

Cassano had a huge shout for a penalty turned down in the 67th minute after Guillermo Rodriguez had clearly tripped him inside the box but the referee thought otherwise.

The visitors could not test the opposition defence with a threatening delivery in the final periods as they slumped to their fourth consecutive defeat of the campaign.
