Serie A match report: A.S Roma 1-1 A.C Siena- Vitiello compiles misery for Enrique: Part 1
A last gasp equaliser from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Vitiello held A.S Roma to a 1-1 draw against newcomers, Siena, in a Serie A encounter at the Stadio Olimpico Rome on Thursday, September 22, 2011.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pablo-Osvaldo-c28996 had put the hosts’ front before the half hour mark but the former Parma star denied Luis Enrique’s men their first win after his clinical finish found the back of the net in the dying minutes of the game.

The hosts got the game off to a lively start as they went on the offensive very early in the game. The Giallorossi kept the lion’s share of possession in the early few minutes and created some decent openings. However, the first
real goal-scoring opportunity came for the visitors in the 15th minute, when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050 Brienza but Lobont came down in time to make a fantastic save.
A minute, the Giallorossi had a wonderful opportunity to take the lead through Borriello. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Pizarro-c10581 made a lovely run on the counter attack and laid the ball for the former A.C Milan striker only for him to scoop his strike
over the bar.
The hosts continued to dominate the proceedings and were rewarded for their hardwork as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Osvaldo-c28821 put them in front in the 25th minute. Borriello managed to skip past his marker after some lovely work and laid the ball
for the former Espanyol star to tap home from close range to make it 1-0 for the Giallorossi.
The visitors came close to equalising almost immediately after conceding; Simon Kjaer miss timed a long ball and Emanuele Calaio controlled it brilliantly but only to fire it wide of the post. That was a great chance for the Bianconeri.
Couple of minutes later, Kjaer once again gave away the ball cheaply in a dangerous position but luckily for him and his team he recovered in time to clear the ball from Brienza.
The Robur had a good spell in the middle periods and applied some intense pressure on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Simone-Vergassola-c33597 played Angelo
in a great position but his weak effort was easily handled by Lobont.
Roma went into the break a goal up but were very lucky not to have conceded.
