A brace from Marco Di Vaio and a goal from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-c31222 Acquafresca down the poor Nerazzurri at San Siro, as Claudio Ranieri’s future remain under dark clouds.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan’s miserable run of form continues, as they suffer 3-0 humiliation at the hands of Stefano Pioli’s men at San Siro on Friday, February 17.
Skipper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Di-Vaio-c23689, scored twice in the first-half before Acquafresca added a late winner to guide the visitors to an emphatic victory.
Claudio Ranieri’s men suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of bottom-placed, Novara, last weekend, and have gone winless in their last six matches in all competitions. As a result of the latest defeat, the Nerazzurri slip to the
6th spot in the Serie A standings.
La Beneamata made several changes to their starting line-up from the last weekend defeat, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-c11058 Forlan and Maicon returned to the team. On the other hand, the Rossoblu made only one change to their team, as
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-c4710 Diamanti replaced Saphir Sliti Taider in the team.
Inter made a confident start to the game, and came close to scoring in the 11th minute. Full-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799, who turned past his marker before watching his shot from 20 yards caught
by Jean-Francois Gillet.
Maicon came extremely close to taking the lead in the 19th minute, but his header from six yards was met by a fantastic reaction save from Gillet.
The Nerazzurri looked extremely dangerous and continued to create several goal-scoring opportunities. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Maicon-c23157 once again headed wide of the goal before Gillet came off his lines to block Forlan’s shot in the 30th minute.
Despite Inter’s heavy dominance, Bologna managed to take the lead against the run of play. Diego Perez’s cross from the right was cleared only to the path of Diamanti, who found Di Vaio with a disguised pass, and the visiting skipper
calmly slotted his shot past Julio Cesar to make it 1-0 for his side.
A minute later, Di Vaio stunned the home fans with another strike. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Ranocchia-c5708 made a horrendous mistake, as he chested down the ball into the path of the former Juventus striker, who had the easiest of finishes to make it
2-0.
Inter were left to rue for their poor defending, as another defeat beckoned at the hands of minnows.
Di Vaio could have completed his hat-trick six minutes after the resumption of second-half, but his shot was deflected wide of the goal by Ranocchia.
The hosts still hoped to make a comeback, but Gillet made another remarkable to keep out Ranocchia’s header from going in. After struggling to find the back of the net on consistent basis, Inter were looking completely down and
out.
Substitute, Acquafresca, compiled more misery for La Beneamata, as his clinical finish made it 3-0 for Stefano Pioli’s men. Ranocchia was once again the villain in the goal, as the defender lost the possession cheaply to Taider.
Inter were abused and jeered by the home fans after another horrible setback on the home turf. It was the Nerazzurri’s first defeat to Bologna in 14 years.
Inter: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucio-c22597, Ranocchia, Nagatomo; Zanetti, Cambiasso; Faraoni (Castaignos 69), Sneijder, Forlan (Poli 61); Pazzini
Bologna: Gillet; Raggi, Portanova, Antonsson; Garics, Perez, Mudingayi, Morleo; Ramirez (Kone 70), Diamanti (Taider 55); Di Vaio (Acquafresca 76)
