Maicon came extremely close to taking the lead in the 19th minute, but his header from six yards was met by a fantastic reaction save from Gillet.

out.
Substitute, Acquafresca, compiled more misery for La Beneamata, as his clinical finish made it 3-0 for Stefano Pioli’s men. Ranocchia was once again the villain in the goal, as the defender lost the possession cheaply to Taider.
Inter were abused and jeered by the home fans after another horrible setback on the home turf. It was the Nerazzurri’s first defeat to Bologna in 14 years.
