Series wound electric motor speed??

Question

If my 55 lb. 48 volt 4200 rpm motor is used with 72 volt, will it hurt it pushing a 500lb. motorcycle and will the motor survive going to 6000+ rpm or will a series wound motor even rev that much??????????????????

for a more accurate answer, contact EV Parts. you will get an honest answer. my conversion uses a 48 volt motor and it is operated at 56 volts with no problems. you didn't say what the HP rating is of your motor.
