  1. Thank you for digging that up RB.  Yes I do and not just last Sunday's race. It's been going on for awhile.  No other driver has to "knowingly" be involved in it.   NASCAR does use certain incidents for a means to the end that they want.  It happens and it isn't fair and it makes NASCAR look dirty...like all the steroid use in other sports or the White Sox scandal years ago when they threw the game.  I hate to think NASCAR is dirty but so is money and that is what talks loud and clear..

  2. NO definitely not.

  3. yes ....definitly

  4. I think it's possible, just like in any sport to manipulate, with a few mysterious cautions at certain times, fouls that are called, penalties, etc.....To think that it doesn't.....you'd must be living with your head in the sand.

  5. Nascar is rigged & everyone will see in the future when you start seeing storylines developing within the drivers. Its already starting but its not so obvious just yet. They can't do what they want with it yet because all the veterans won't go along but as they retire & the new development drivers come up with Nascar's training, it will be just like wrestling in the future.

    For example:

Dale Earnhardt JR has went 76 races without a win, is today the day that streak ends, on fathers day? His father, Dale Earnhardt SR won 76 races and this would be the perfect time for JR to win with the recent controversy in NASCAR. Stay tuned to TNT.

After the race: "They can say what they want, but we won one" - Dale JR

This 'victory' is EXACTLY what the sport needed. There is no other driver who could have won to take our minds off the lawsuit by Mauricia Grant moreso than a Dale JR win. And look what happened.

  6. I read it. My answer is NO. To the guy whining about the bud can causing a caution in every post, could YOU tell what it was from the tower? Bill France's quote from the article "Is it a piece of metal or a piece of paper? We have to err on the side of safety"

Tony Eury talking to Jr. during the caution sunday. "Stay behind the pace car. Nascar knows what your trying to do(save gas) but dont pass the pace car again."

Michael Waltrips comment about the audio/pace car issue. "Nascar will work with a driver once or twice then give him a warning. The biggest concern with Nascar is they don't want to make a snap call that changes the outcome of the race".

Jr. had that race won by a mile with 3 laps to go. He said he knew he could easily beat McMurray so that was no concern. If Nascar wanted to make Jr. win they wouldn't have thrown any caution at all. Afterall, Hornish was off the track after spinning. Right?

If you truly believe the races are fixed then Hornish screwed up. Right?

For someone to corralate that Jr.'s win was scripted simply because of Grants lawsuit is just plain sick and a little freaky! I'm embarassed that you call yourself a fan because your giving us all a bad name.

So go ahead troll patrol with the thumbs down, from what i've read here in the past few days, rb is your leader.

  7. Yeah, they most definitely do. The Freemasons and the Rockefellers pay off a sniper, and he shoots the tires on Carpentier's and Waltrip's car. The money is delivered by James Dean and then the CIA kills all the squealers.

    NOT!

    Conspiracy theories are pathetic.

  8. No I don't think so racing is legitimate if they did it then dirt racers would do it

  9. I hope some you guys are movie writers/directors/producers because you sure do have some grand imaginations.

If you dont like it, dont watch it.

  10. Script is too strong a word. I dont think they play favorites.  I dont think they script things for a particular outcome.  I do think they throw bogus cautions in an attempt to spice up things from time to time.  Even the drivers openly admit this.

  11. Yup, they've got those fan controllers from the Toyota ad up in race control. A car they don't like starts having a good run then blammo something goes wrong with it. They also have Theresa Earnhardt's remote engine blower up there too.

T-bone, you're breaking wind on this question? You eat some chilli last night or something.

  12. This week at Infinion:

After looking at qualifying and seeing who's in what spot, I can determine that the following drivers won't win -- of course they either never have won or haven't won in like five years. Both Labontes, Tony Raines, Kevin Lepage, Anyone named Petty, Scott Wimmer, Martin Truex Jr., Joe Nemechek, Stanton Barrett, Jeremy Mayfield, Jeff Green, anyone named Wallace, Sterling Marlin, J.J. Yeley, Ken Schrader, Scott Riggs and Travis Kvapil.

So here's the script: Early in the race, probably in the first 2-5 laps, Kasey Kahne will lose the lead, and Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth will gain 10-12 spots. Jeff Gordon will be running in the top five, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will have problems early. About halfway through the race, Gordon will lead for a few laps, Earnhardt will still be complaining that his car is loose, and Tony Stewart will be getting all the airtime -- because he will have "the best car."

With 30 laps to go, Gordon will either be wrecked by Kevin Harvick or Robby Gordon, or develop some type of mysterious engine problem, like a loose nut on his distributor cap. Boris Said will take over the lead after having come all the way from the back of the pack. Meanwhile, Earnhardt's car all of the sudden will start working great and Kahne's car will now start going backwards.

In the final 10 laps, Johnson's car will come out of nowhere and somehow be there in the final. And the winner will either be Johnson, Earnhardt, Stewart, Said, or anyone of the other young guys like Kyle Busch. And some things will just continue to be predictable as to who is not guaranteed to win.

  13. No, there is no need to. Autoracing is entertaining/gripping enough. No need to fix it.

  14. It can, and it does. That happens in all sports. Unfair calls are always made, and someone is always the winner and someone is always the loser.

  15. no!

  16. Split decision here I do not think they do that my spouse does, it would be pretty hard to fix the race without involving other drivers as well...

  17. sure pal, just give us a link to some paranoid loser who writes internet articles from his parents basement and we'll all just have our eyes opened. yes, NASCAR is fixed, the NFL is fixed by the mafia, (i'm sure you can find lots of internet articles about that too) in fact, all pro sports are scripted. jeez, get a life pal. if you think it's scripted, stop watching it, i'm sure you can find something else to do with your sunday afternoons, like proving that there is a UFO landing strip at area 51. i'm sure there are internet articles written about it, so it has to be true, right?

  18. Oh geesh.    Suuuuuuuurrrrrrrreeee Ok Nascar made a secret radio call to Michael Waltrip and Patty Carpenter and told them to wreck so Jr could win.  They told everyone to back off and let Kasey Kahne drive by them the week before and all those races that bush won they told the drivers in the driver's meeting that they had to move over whenever Bush came by.

  19. Where is the debris for the caution?

Nascar always sees it, why don't we always see it?

  20. Ok I'll finally break wind on this issue and move on.  Do they manipulate the outcome of races?  I don't believe it for a second.   Do they manipulate races for entertainment value?  Absolutely without a doubt.  The problem is that manipulating the entertainement value sometimes does benefit some drivers more then others but the fact of the matter is the luck falls into the laps of different drivers on any given day. If JR was lucky this weekend he may not be that lucky for several years.  It may be Kyle Pettys turn someday to benefit.

Boredom cautions or competition yellows are common and/or discretionary in all of motorsports including F1.    I hope people understand my conveyance. The race wasn't fixed Sunday but JR was the lucky one that benefited this time.  It may be someone else next week or the week after that.

I'm just warning people that Im about to start acting smart Wedge....lol   Sometimes my big mouth makes people misunderstand me..  Just ask the guy in the INDY section that asked about the Unsers..

  21. I don't believe for a second that it is rigged.  Some of the cautions may be thrown for no apparent reason, invisible debris and such.  But to manipulate the outcome of a race.  No way.  They would need the driver & pit crews on board for that.  So you are trying to tell me that speeding threw pit road and pulling a flag is staged?  A blown tire has been cut before the race to assure it blows?  The gas tank has a leak in it to make sure the car runs out of gas?  The official gets run over to make it a little more interesting?  I am sure the drivers just rev them engines till they blow huh?  Heck we all know the RAIN is certaintly a ploy it's never real.  The crashes I will bet millions that the NASCAR sits back and says "Wow look at Gordon go, hey Harvick spin him out man!"  You know for sure the spotters on in on it as well "clear, clear, clear......oops!"  I sure do hate it when the officals put super glue on those lug-nuts to make them stick and cause slow pit stops.  The worst is when they set up a car to crash and to kill the driver.

You know what they say "Stuff Happens" in every sport there are bad calls, NASCAR is no different.  Are they pourposely throwing races, I don't think so.

Dosen't mean it's fixed it's just racin man.  If you don't like it or think it's rigged just move on pal.  Find something you can live with, if that is possible for ya.

  22. rb... I'm so strongly opinionated on this subject I don't even want to get started. The France Royalty DOES have control of the Na$car officiating. To think otherwise is ludicrous. I'm not going to offend fans of one driver or another... I'm a stock car racing fan first and foremost, and I'm saddened by the direction in which our sport has been heading over the past few years.

When Na$car penalized Stewart for his accusations directed at the royal family in 2007, it made me wonder if Stewart's actions were deemed "detrimental to the sport" under section 12-4-A,

I had to wonder if possibly the same rule should have applied to Brian France when he drunkenly drove his car into a tree. Said incident, if you'll recall, was very quickly hushed up and swept under the Na$car rug.

I feel that the person most detrimental to the sport of stock car racing is King Brian himself. He claims to be doing so much to improve the sport for the benefit of the fans, while in reality, his only concern is power and revenue.

It's no longer about the spirit of competition on the track, it's about the all mighty dollar.

Including Sundays controversy, the fact that Na$car has some control in the outcome of the races is almost undeniable...we need to get smart and realize the $ signs are what leads Na$car since King Brian took over.

As far as Tony Stewart is concerned... like him or not... you've got to respect the guy for speaking out. Anyone who follows Na$car closely knows Stewart is not the lone driver with that opinion. He just happens to be the only one with the cojones to speak his mind and risk the wrath of the powers

that be...The royal family of Na$car.

  23. I don't know about that. It would be hard to prove...but yeah they throw cautions all the time for no reason.

I was thinking that if they are going to throw cautions for no reason why don't they just break each race down into like 4 segments and have mandated cautions to keep the field close...makes sense, unless they really think NASCAR fans are stupid enough to believe that all of these cautions are legit.
