Serious Question for those concern about environment.?

There is a human and livestock population boom in the drylands while green patches are fading rapidly. World population today : Human=6.7 bil, livestock=28-30 bil, Rainforests cover 2% Earth’s total surface today.

If the earth is overpopulated, and definitely reaching the acute competition and war over HUMAN -LIVESTOCK-TREES tomorrow...which one you will "LET GO" first. And Why?

Imagine the entire world is reaching the stage which worst than the "Singapore" today.

Please to do argue about the word "tomorrow" (is just a paradigm); Someone said "it should be the consent of our grand, grand children-why should we bother today?" Pls don’t answer like a typical "end-user"; No "spoiler" please… unless you are willing to stand before the "last" tree. Answer like an environmentalist gentleman.

So, my question is…If the earth is overpopulated, and definitely reaching the acute competition and war over HUMAN -LIVESTOCK-VEGETATION tomorrow...which one you will "LET GO" first. And Why?

  1. The livestock would have to go... ...you can live without meat (ask all the vegetarians in the world) but you can't live without Mother Nature's green...

My two cents worth... by Karney

  2. (Are u doing some research or studying human behaviour? It seems u had posted this question in many sections!)

Today, escalating human populations have vastly exceeded global carrying capacity and now produce massive quantities of solid, liquid, and gaseous waste. Biological diversity is being threatened by over-exploitation, toxic pollution, agricultural mono-culture, invasive species, competition, habitat destruction, urban sprawl, oceanic acidification, ozone depletion, global warming, and climate change. It’s a runaway train of ecological calamities.

The oxygen of the atmosphere is almost completely the product of the photosynthetic activity of green plants. Respiration and combustion are energy-consuming processes. The end product of respiration is carbon dioxide.

Some many argue that global warming is a natural phenomenon. However, I would say that global warming will drastically aggravated with deterioration of rainforests and overpopulation of human/livestock. End of the tree is end of the human race. Sorry, not everyone bothered for vegetations, but “it’s a train that carries all the earth’s species as unwilling passengers with humans as the manically insane engineers unwilling to use the brake pedal”.

So, my answer is …I will “let go” the livestock first, because end of the green tree is end of the human race…(The Oxygen-Nitrogen Cycle, remember?). It's impossible to let go the human, unless human turn to be the cannibals again. We could sustain the world for much longer without the livestock instead. I understand your question. Why should I wait until tomorrow, right? Smart question lol!

  3. I think we'll let go of livestock first. There are several types of algae which are totally edible. This would migrate the harvest of food to the oceans and man-made bodies of water.

By harvesting and eating vegatation on that kind of form, we might be able to save other forms of vegetation.
