Serious answer please.what cause clouds to become soo black why dose this happen?

clouds in the sky can become grayish bu blak before a rainstrom and thundershowers why??

this site explains why clouds are black!! ~ I learnt a new thing about clouds!!

I live in Australia (QLD) and sometimes (mostly in summer) we get storms and our skies turn green / black ~ we also get golf ball size hail!! the lighting shows are great too, and the thunder sounds wicked!!

First, ask yourself why the sky appears to be blue rather than any other color. The answer is in the reflection of the cloud. At night, a large city will illuminate the low clouds but you cannot determine the cloud color as easily. So, your answer is light (or lack of), reflection, and condensation nuclei (dirt particles).

The sky is blue. Does it reflect off of the ocean? Water is clear but the ocean is blue.

they are that way because they are so thick they block out the sun and appear that way
