why is it wen i eat lots of sugar my gums tingle an i feel like im on drugs but it only last for like 5 mins. is it like a sugar high or is it mayb something serious like diabetes???

  1. maybe the acidy sugar effect your gums more so than others.

    lower the sugar amounts if i were you but dont stop eating sweets completely. lol.

    im sure you do honey but yer always brush your teeth. youll feel a difference.


  2. I might be completely wrong by making this connection but you reminded me of something. My father in law just had a heart attack and he said that his teeth and gums hurt him while it was happening. Maybe it has something to do with your blood sugar levels. I would go and talk to a doctor about it.

  3. well, i'm not sure, because i haven't heard of that happening before, but i guess the only thing that would make sense it that its a sugar high. have you tried sugar free gum? if the same thing happens, then i'm not sure... it could be because of the ingredients in it also. try a lot of different gum brands, and compare. if it happens to all of them, then i really don't know! but if it doesn't bother you, just keep chewing gum... :) good luck!
