Serious issue with brother?

me, my mom, and bro went to his physical today and they did this thign called a confidential (they take everyone out the room except him and the doctor to ask personal questions and wont tell what my bro said to my parents or me. srry hard to explain) and they told us hes kinda depresesd and sometimes thought about hurting himself. im worried now and he is always isolated. im so scared for him. they said we might all see a counselor and im always scared hes gonna do something to himself. what should i do? dont tell me to talk to him because hes older and is always on the computer and telling me to leave his room and stuff. and hes always mad, so i can never talk to him. what should i do? plz help because this is kinda serious and im worried now :[

I would write him a letter telling him how much you love him and how sad and scared knowing that he's depressed makes you. Tell him that you would miss him terribly if he were to take his own life. Let him know that you are always there, even if he doesn't want to talk but just to take a walk or play catch (dunno if you're a girl or boy?) or something...

Tell him that you understand he can't help the way he feels and that you don't expect him to just "cheer up," but that he will not always feel this way, your family will find a way to help him and you will all get through this together.
