Serious question about Palin's daughter's pregnancy?

If it would have been Obama's daughter (if she was 17) that got pregnant, would he have made her have an abortion?

I mean in his speech about abortion he says that if his daughter made a mistake he would not want to punish her w/ a baby.

  1. .If you listen to the video, you will see that Obama's daughters would not be uninformed about birth control.  He would not assume that they were perfect and would always maintain abstinence, although that would be his preference.  Kids are learning and they do make mistakes. You may not believe that a teenage pregnancy would justify an abortion(if that was the girl's choice) but many , and I am one of them, disagree.

  2. Look - if my daughter was knocked up at 17, I would ABSOLUTELY force her to get the abortion.  That's just common sense.

  3. Being pro-choice is not about "making" anyone do anything. It's about giving women the right to choose.

Also on the Palin issue, the issue I have is that she's getting married!  She's pregnant and has chosen to have the baby.  The whole family is going to pitch in......  The marriage is the real issue for me.  18 years old, new baby and married.  I think a truly responsible parent would strongly advise to WAIT on that. Two mistakes don't make this whole thing right!

And on McCain, he clearly did not vet this governor.  I don't care what he says.  If so, why did his vetting team head up to Alaska last nite. He made a knee-jerk decision to try to win voters and it has blown up in his face!

  4. The family would weigh all options and decide based all what would be best.  Just because someone is pro choice does not mean they agree with abortions.  It is just they something can and should not be dictated by government.  I am pro choice and my wife and I would never consider an abortions unless my wife's life was at risk.  But that is our choice, we have no right to put our values upon everyone.

  5. Did it ever occur to you that maybe the Obamas will be good parents? And that their children will grow up to be good people? Your hypothetical insists that the Obamas are the same kind of people as the Palins. I don't think they are.

  6. If it were Obama's daughter he'd have had her shipped to Kenya to get an abortion there, just to prevent the fact from being known to the voters.

  7. Americans liberals don't pay any heed to roll models...they indulge in every debauchery they can

what is moral about using birth control

birth control some forms also cause cancer and let the user vulnerable to disease.

    what is good about that

she should not been allowed to date

  8. Obama is "pro-choice."  Note the word "choice" in that phrase.

Being pro-choice means that pregnant women have a right to choose to have an abortion (within certain limits).  It also means that a woman may choose to give birth as well.   No one who supports the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade advocates forced abortions.

Not wanting to punish his daughter with a baby means he would not force her to give birth, but would let the decision be hers.  Obviously, if she chose to keep a baby, it would be her choice, and therefore not a punishment.

  9. Pro-choice means just that, Pro-choice. You are implying that pro-choice means mandatory-abortion.

I am voting for McCain, yet still, I think the premise of this question is false and cannot possibly be "serious".

  10. Did it occur to you that he could give the baby up for adoption and that would save her from the punishment of having a child that young?

    Pro-choice doesn't mean mandatory abortions. Those of us who are pro-choice aren't pro-abortion. We're pro-not-shoving-our-beliefs-down-other-p...
