Serious question on these arts?

Has anyone heard or seen this art or system Tai karate by GM David German? If so is it a effective style in a real situation. Also which should i study to defend against a mugger car jack er thug and so on. Which will work in these situations. #1 kenpo #2 hapkido #3 Tai kwon do #4 Judo #5 boxing #6 Aikido or mma. These are the studios near me also one more kung fu san soo.

  1. I've never heard of Tai Karate or David German.

    As for the other part of your question, any of those arts you listed would be helpful.  If you have all of those near you, see if you can take a trial class at a few of them and pick the one you like the best.

  2. hey no i have never heard of tai karate nor david german as for martial arts that are good for street defence i would choose, boxing or mma out of them and maybe kung fu, try to stay away from the older style or the grappling (you dont really want to end up on concrete floor against some1 on the street who could have friends waiting for you too)

    MMA is a great choice or muay thai if you can find a class for that.

  3. I've studied some karate before and am now doing Hapkido, and MMA, and should be starting Submission Wrestling soon.

    I would say MMA is the most effective. But I like Hapkido too.
