Ok. My friend who I didn't really talk to in 7th grade school year got SUPER SKINNY. I was at my friends house, lets call her stacey, and the super skinny girl, jane.

Stacey and I were like OMG u got so thin, how? and jane says soccer. stacey's mom was talking to Jane's mom and janes mom said that jane lost the weight in three weeks! and I am talking about like a lot of weight!

Stacey, Stacey's mom, me and, Jane's mom are worried about her. Do you think she has an eating disorder, like anorexia? P.S. She eats A LOT.

  1. An anorexic doesnt eat at all.

    Maybe she's bulimic?

  2. It's possible, very possible. Soccer if anything can make you gain muscle, which ways more then fat... so if she losing more weight then going down sizes in clothes then yes, it makes since.

What you need to do is keep an eye on her. Tell her she's skinny, and needs some 'meat on them bones!' but in a joking way. If it doesn't change, then it's too ate and she needs to see a doctor.

  3. nope, she ran fat first into a lipo machine.

  4. i think anyone must talk to her to know more about her proplem and try to persuade her to see adoctor to know exactly what's happening with her and good luck.

  5. She is probably bulimic. In case you don't know what it is (even though you probably do) it is when they eat a lot, and then make themselves throw it back up. You need to get her to a doctor if she is, because once her body gets into the habit of doing it, it is hard to stop.

  6. PERSONALITY OF AN ANOREXIC:

    • Tends to be a perfectionist and an over-achiever in school.

    • Suffers from low self-esteem despite how much they accomplish.

    • Desperately needs control over all aspects of their life. When they feel their life is in chaos, controlling their body’s urge to eat is way to regain that feeling of control.

    • Competitive, especially when it comes to other girl’s weights. Has to be the skinniest.

    • Becomes irrational and defensive about their weight.

    • Displays an intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat.

    • Might have trouble expressing feelings of anger and stress.

    FOOD BEHAVIORS OF AN ANOREXIC:

    • Skips meals (always has an excuse to avoid eating like “they ate earlier,” “stomach is upset” and so on).

    • Takes only tiny portions.

    • Will not eat in front of others.

    • Often will hide the food they have claim to have eaten.

    • Develops very ritualistic eating habits (i.e., cutting food into small sizes and spending more time playing / moving their food around their plate than eating).

    • Eats only “safe foods” that are low calorie non-fat with no or little nutrients.

    • Begins to hate or feels repulsed by foods that were once their favorites.

    • Obsessed with reading food labels and calculating their calorie / fat intake.

    • May use alcohol or drugs to help control their appetite.

    PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OF AN ANOREXIC:

    • No matter how much everyone tries to tell them otherwise they are thoroughly convinced that they are fat and/or getting fatter.

    • Constantly compares themselves with others, as if in competition.

    • Hates the natural occurring female developing process of their bodies (i.e., b*****s, thighs, hips and belly).

    • Might wear baggy or layers of clothes to hide their emaciation and to stay warm.

    • Spends an unusual amount of time inspecting and criticizing themselves in the mirror.

    • Irregular periods.

    • Loss of hair and their once healthy glow that is replaced with brittle nails, stringy hair and “grayish” complexion with an overall abundance “peach fuzz” on the face.

  7. If she eats a lot and she is still getting super skinny super fast, it could be bulimia.

Just in case you don't know, Bulimia is where the person eats normally, or maybe binges, and forces them self to throw it back up, which is called purging

Or they could be a non-purging bulimic and they may work off the food by exercizing for hours

  8. if shes eating alot, its not anoexia. she may be bullemic.

thats when you eat alot alot and throw it back up.

  9. It's a very strong possibility.  A better indicator that assumption is to talk to the people who were her friends last year.  Most people with eating disorders will go on and on and on about weight and beauty and how they're not perfect enough, and then suddenly stop.  Most people with eating disorders don't advertise it but there is clearly a previous obsession with weight.

Also, take into consideration her height.  Even growing a couple inches can make someone seems really skinny who was of a normal build before.  My best friend was always being told she was anorexic and it really bothered her because she was just thin.  Do a little investigation into her previous social situation before you assume anything.

  10. Well it depends what she's eating and how much she's working out. If you saw her eating a lot, (and she didn't vomit), then she probably doesn't have an eating disorder.

Maybe your friend is just working out a lot and watching her weight. Or G-D forbid, maybe she's sick, and doesn't want to tell you about it?

  11. wow sounds like it have her mom talk to a doctor

  12. if she eats a lot but it so thin that could be a sign of bulimia. a lot of times people will go days without eating and then becone so hungry theyll eat a lot and then get rid of it by throwing up. but bulimia usually doesnt make u loose a ton of weight in such a short time. it kind of makes u loose a few lbs and just STAY thin. but if she were anorexic then she culdve lost a good bit of weight in a few weeks. her mom should take her to the doctor. because there's no way she lost that much weight playing soccer.

  13. This girl needs to be seen by her doctor.  I hope her mother gets her in soon.

  14. If she eats A LOT, then shes not anorexic. Shes probably bulimic. Well, next time you see Jane, tell her to appointment with the dentist her teeth might fool out if she’s not careful.

People that are bulimic have BAD teeth, and fools out. So, I'm not being horrible, it's just the truth. She needs to think about her health more than being d**n SUPER SKINNY. Not additive.

  15. Hey,

She could have bulimia where a person makes themselves sick by sticking their finger down their throat, it's called purging. Eating disorders are nothing to mess about with, keep an eye on her, signs of bulimia are..

    Bloodshot eyes

    thin hair and brittle nails

    swollen cheeks

disappearing to the toilets after meals (to purge)

    loss of weight

please speak to this girls mom explain about bulimia if she doesn't already know, heres a link with more information

    xxxx

  16. she might be

talk to ur school counselor or something like that

  17. I'm nowhere near positive but she may be bulimic ((i doubt shes' anorexic because thats when you don't eat at all--bulimia is when you eat a LOT then throw it all up))

Plus I doubt you can lose that much weight by playng soccer for 3 weeks. Again,, I'm not positive

  18. It can't be anorexia if she eats a lot. It may be bulemia, HOWEVER, it would take longer than 3 weeks for her to lose a LOT of weight. When you force yourself to throw up after you've eaten, you really only lose about 2/3 of what you ate. She could be slightly anorexic, so she doesn't eat, but then when she does, she maybe throws it back up. But if you don't eat for a while, and then you finally do eat, your body goes "FOOD!! Yes!" and stores it, so that you actually gain more that way. It keeps the fat and nothing else.

You should talk to her about it, but don't freak her out. Just ask her what's going on, and talk to your mom and her mom, she probably needs a doctor visit.

  19. it would not be anorexia it would be bulimia bulimia is were you eat alot and throw up after look for signs of it like her teeth decaying and turning yellow or scratch marks on her knuckles from sticking her fingers down her throat or maybe look at her toothbrush and see if its clean. Does she go to the bathroom after every meal and when she eats she eats a lot at one sitting? Does she look in the mirror alot and touch her body were she thinks its a trouble spot? and if she calls herself fat.....if she had anorexia then she wouldnt be eating at all

  20. Yeah, sounds like she might be bulimic.  I  would suggest getting her to a psychologist/counselor and a nutritionist to help her with the disorder.
