Serious situation tonight in tomorrow in Boston?

The Red Sox are heading down the drain fast. Manny wants out, and now it looks like a trade is inevitable. However, trading Manny is going to be a huge issue.

Jason Bay may be a decent player, but he's sort of overrated. He wasn't even in the All Star game this year. He will struggle and won't live up to expectations trying to fill the hole of Manny Ramirez.

I just don't see Jason Bay being the type of player that is right for something like this. This is a hard trade to pull off. But who knows what will happen if Manny stays or is gone.

This is pretty much the climax of the Red Sox's season. What do you guys think?

  1. Just watching Manny play it shows he doesn't want to be there.

Sox need to get what they can !

  2. Manny is just pathetic. Who gives a sh-t if you don't want to play in Boston. Hustle and stop complaining. I don't know if anyone else heard Manny say the Red Sox "don't deserve me".

Anyways, The best trade for the BoSox would probably be the trade for Bay.

  3. i think that if the red sox trade manny ramirez, which appears inevitable considering that the team doesn't want him and he wants out, they immediately become the third best team in the al east regardless of who they get in return...there are very few players in baseball who put up manny's numbers year in and year out as he does, and jason bay frankly just doesn't cut it...if this trade goes through the season is over for the red sox, i just don't see them being able to recover from putting such a massive hole in their lineup

  4. "Someone like Hanley Ramirez would be a good addition to the Red Sox (but obviously he won't be traded)."

    I couldn't help but lol.

  5. The sox have more talent than 90% of the MLB with or Witout Manny! So if they pull off something with the marlins and can get some awesome young pitching and maybe a third baseman or a shortstop or something who can make an impact late this season or start next year that would be great.

I honestly think an average player who's at least trying would be better than manny has been lately.

Needless to say, hes gotta go!

  6. The "Manny Situation" has obviously seriously impacted the rest of the team.  "Lackluster" is putting it mildly.

Let Manny be Manny somewhere else.  The team needs to concentrate on winning, not the complaints of a over-grown baby.

If he stays, will he refuse to play?  Will he watch 3 strikes zoom past him without taking the bat from his shoulder? Will he disappear behind the Green Monster for the whole game?
