Question:

Seriously, what's wrong with the people in this section?

I know lots of people have issues and all-but good gods. I'm certain at least half of these are insane, bored trolls. They have to be. Or people seeking attention. Right?

Or have I been living under a rock and just not noticed that the world is a lot more screwed up than I thought it was?

  1. A chemical in balance in the brain or body isn't something a person will ask for.  There is alot of terrible things going on in the area around you.   A chemical in-balance is herriditery and most people don't know they have it.  Or don't admit to it.  Stress alone is a harsh thing to deal with.  It takes a very special person to be in the medical field .  But it is wonderful to watch new life be born.    It all takes patience and understanding, check out web sites for brain  chemicals and functions.

  2. the problem with the people in this section is.. they have problems. mentally, psychologically, etc. and you WOULDN'T understand it because you your mind is clear. haha. you know what i mean (i hope yes) this people have problems/thoughts that go beyond normal and when they are in the dark spot they usually find no way out and that makes them weird?  no, the world is not screwed up its just that some people just don't see any good/positive things. :)

  3. I understand where you are coming from big time. A lot of people need to be medicated, yes, and a lot of people have issues, yes, but I too think that there are a lot of people who use this section for attention.

What I hate more than anything are the am-i-depressed/bipolar/borderline/etc. questions that come from people who need to hear that they have one of those problems, but won't go to a doctor. It's especially annoying when they can easily google for some answers. Some may argue that they cannot see a doctor due to cost, but there ARE low-cost programs/counselors/etc. And, really, if they can't see a doctor, there's no point in them asking questions on here, because what will an online diagnosis get them anyway?

I'm not saying I'm perfect -- I too am on meds and I have my moments, as I think we all do, but I feel like there are a lot of people out there who feel the need to grope for attention.

AND I think there are a lot of trolls, too.

    But that's just me :)

  4. your right some of them do have problems and are just asking for help, others don't even bother to read there answers and just ask the same question over and over again, others think mental health is a joke

  5. As far as "pill dependent"  I'm not sure if you would classify my as that or not.  But mental Illnesses are very real, and unless you have experience what its like to be in a debilitating depression, anxiety so bad you drop out of school cause you cant go into a classroom and then even into the building, racing thoughts to the point that you cant even speak in coherent sentences because your head is going faster then your mouth can keep up with.  You cant say what its like to deal with those things.

And just because you haven't dealt with them doesn't mean they are not real. (God sounds like me correcting my 6 year old "mr know it all" when nothing can exist because he hasnt seen it).

Yes many people are looking for an instant fix "I dont like my life and my boy friend broke up with me where can i get antidepressants without a prescription"  And personally I am VERY anti meds with people that do not need them and just need coping stratagies/therapy.  But there are the people that do need genuine help, and genuinly do need meds.  I am on of them.  I have a Dr that will not prescribe more then what i need to be on and I dont want to be on more then I have to, actually dont want to be on any at all, but know how i get if im not.

Yes some people are just trolling in here.  Some just dont know how to cope with things and need to learn to.  But a lot of people do have mental health issues

But pretty much, you have not been under a rock, but those issues typicaly are, so unless you are out looking for them or directly effected by them, you would never notice.   You would be surprised how many people you probably know that are being treated for some mental health issue, but would never tell you.

  6. You know lisa sometimes that is the only answer in order to save someone's life. Unless you can walk in their shoes you cannot judge them. Maybe they need to take pills to function. I can tell you that some people quality of life have drastically improved from taking pills. Pills work but it may be getting abused by some- but it is their problem and they will deal with it in their time.

Since we don't know and we cannot tell just by looking at someone, I think if a pill will keep someone emotionally stable to save their life until they get better or just to help them to live a better quality of life, then it is worth it.

  7. We all need attention.  Life would be pretty lonely without anyone paying attention to us.  People are reaching out for help on here because they are in pain.  Only the person knows how much pain he/she is experiencing.  All we can do is try to help in some way through sharing our own personal experiences.

  8. the thing that people are doing is right by maybe..maybe seeing that there is something wrong with themselves and tryingto get answers from others to see if it is worth trying to figure out if they should see a doctor or if they have any of the same sypmtoms

  9. I dont take any pills  :  )

but if you look at the way people treat each other, its no wonder people  are the way they are  : (
