Seriously what is the problem?

I see so many questions on here like why do black ppl do this and that and i see the answers and ppl of other races are so quick to draw their own conclusions about us from things they see on TV [how stupid]...Anyway I feel like many of these people have underlying racist stereotypes that they don't want to admit to.

1. Why do whites [or any other race] have a problem with blacks using the N word..were not talking to u about u and if you're not black it doesn't apply to you. Are you just mad that you cant call us ******* freely? It seems to me thats the only reason anyone would have a problem with it

well, I know in my case, I grew up being taught that word was a cruel ugly word  and it degraded the person or group.  

That using names with such negative connotations were usually done to dehumanize a particular group.   So when I hear it being used so freely today, it still makes me cringe and makes me feel that the people using it don't really understand the meaning behind it.    I just don't like it.

Yes, I do have a problem with black people being allowed to call each other the n-word, but white people cannot.  This is not to say I want to.  What I mean is I'm tired of the double standards.  Have you ever used a derogatory term to talk about people of another race?  If you ever called a Hispanic person a beaner or a white person a cracker (to their face or behind their back), you are just as guilty as a white person using the n-word.  I don't care how much "negative energy" is behind the word.  It's still a derogatory word.

Um, my reason is that I don't want to hear or be around anything to do with that word. I don't care who says it or for what reason. I don't believe that using the word helps eliminate racism.

I don't use that word, and it doesn't bother me when black people use it. I think most people are mad at the double standard. It sucks to be called a racist when you are not, and a lot of people from all races are on the defensive. Stuff just gets misinterpreted but if your white it is next to impossible to defend yourself when someone accuses you of being racist.

Why does anyone want to use that word?  Black, White, whatever...the word sucks and so do people who use it.
