I just started seroquel for anxiety and possible bi polar, however when i wake up, i feel as if I am a zombie... Usually all day. I feel tired and not engaged in anything. Nothing sounds fun. Just sleep.

Im calling my doctor tomorro. I want to request a stimulent i can use when i awake. Something like adderall. Does anyone have any suggestions on what would work well?

  1. My doctor said that seroquel's sedative effects are more potent on lower doses.  A 50mg dose, for example, will knock you out faster than say 200.  I'm on 400 and I can usually function well after 8 hours of sleep.

It is very effective for Bipolar on the Manic side, but I had to get onto an antidepressant to counteract the fact that it sometimes can lower you below the equilibrium.

Abilify, if you can get it, is much more effective for Bipolar.

Stay away from high doses of caffine.  while this may help you short term, it tends to push into mania.  After you let Seroquel get into your system, taking it religiously, the mornings will be easier.  I take seroquel on hour before sleep.
