Alright so my internet box is connected into my wireless box with one ethernet cable. As straight forward that gives out wireless for me. But there are several other slots in the wirless box where I can put another ethernet cable. I did so and linked it to my personal computer. Its now running at my broadband speed [100 mbps] and I can go on the internet. Sounds great yes?! Well now I cant run my Godscape private server even though I could on wireless why is this? What settings can I change to fix this? I have already port forwarded etc. and added firewall ports.

  1. You said you already portforwarded  -- did you port forward the within the ROUTER!!! You have to in order for any server to work.  The IP that is on the corded installation will not be the same IP on the wireless UNLESS you set both of them to the same IP on the computer.  Set the server to a STATIC IP within the routers range -- outside of its DHCP range and port forward all needed ports (in the routers setup) to the servers "static" IP!  It will then work..  You do have to login to the router for that!

PS - you don't have 100mbs internet you have 100mbs between the server and the router!  The internet is whatever speed you are paying to get!

  2. the server is prob blocking it..
