If each volunter adopt one kid all over india, I hope the orphans population will be reduced instead of collecting fund & organizing a meeting , providing food for one day.

  1. My 15 year old daughter was adopted from Mother Theresa's in the old part of Delhi when she was only 8 months old.  I'll never forget the large number of children there waiting for adoption.  There must have been over 150 at the time and that was just in one orphanage.  Mind you, from what we saw of a number of other orphanages, it was one of the best.  Some of them were SO bad, even by Indian standards.

  2. Yes, let's not help all the people of India; let's just help ourselves to the cute kids and let the rest of the people starve.

  3. Not everyone is in a position to adopt a child, so they do the best that they can, Better than doing nothing don't you think ?

  4. I completely Agree!

I have never understood why those people able to provide for a child that is alive on this earth needing a home didn't take their responsibility to do so....

Of course, not everyone is Ready--and Able to provide the best for a child at this moment.... But, life is long and if people made a goal of doing more then Fund Raising--Holding Meetings and talking about it there would be so much Healing around the world!

I always planned to adopt a child that was in need. From the time I was a child and as I walked the steps of my life I worked hard to reach the point that I was ready and able.

My personal belief was to work toward Zero-Population by only reproducing one child for each parent--but, I also always wanted several children and love to watch people grow up so... I knew adoption would be the way that would happen for me.

I personally have never understood why able parents with resources to Grow Healthy Kids didn't make room in their homes--hearts and lives to do more then write a check or talk the talk about meeting the needs of children who have no parent to love them....

So -- Keep asking this Question and try to make people think about it. How hard is it really to invest some time--space--food--and Actual Love for a child?

It's pretty easy to Talk about the need and it is the most awsome expereince to Acutally Make a Difference!

    One--Child--At--A--Time!

  5. Nice thought but not very realistic. With all the politics and the cost involved in adoption it is hard for alot of people who would like to adopt.  These volunteers are taking part and doing what they can to try to help these kids. Without them collecting money and providing food their lives would be even worse. Even a little help is better than none at all.
