Question:

Service Hours At School?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

My high school requires me to have 5 service hours every nine weeks. I am not opposed to volunteering, I just don't have any good, original ideas. I can't count helping my family or friends and I have to have somebody who oversees whatever project I do sign a slip. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

  1. Help out at your local homeless shelters.  Adopt a road to keep clean.  Go to your local Senior Citizen homes.  Visit sick children or injured soldiers.  Be a Big Brother.  Be a voice for your community against violence and drugs.  Volunteer at a local school to help children learn to read.  Help an elder neighbor with lawn work or house keeping.  Rock new born babies at the hospital.

  2. Well,a ll you do is go to charaties and places where they help others out, and voolunteer there. I use to be in Scouts, and thats what we did. We had to have 6 hours of service, so yeah go somewhere like that to get your hours. Or you can do a service project of your own! Hopefully this helps!!

  3. We hired someone to check on our 88 year old Aunt.  Just knock on the door and tell us if no one answers.  We paid $250 a month.  Can you accept money for your high school requirement?  Find an elderly person and visit them to get your hours.  /

  4. volunteer at your church, they always likes volunteers.

  5. my high school makes us do that same thing.

volunteer at an animal shelter or do service for a local church!  or go to a local park and pick up trash there :)
