  1. I have a different Pioneer Elite than you (mines an older RPTV, but on mine, you hit "Menu" the "Picture Settings" then "Convergernce".  It will then have you adjust the red and blue level in the center screen, then ask if you want full screen convergence. Then it will display a grid pattern on the screen that has 72 points (small white boxes) so you use the up, down, left and right button till you get the curser over the grid, Hit "enter" and the red icon lights up and you move your arrow keys till the red line moves over to the closest line and turns only white.  Then if you also notice a blue line, you do the same thing.  If the top or bottom of the grid line shows blue or red, then hit up and down.  If the right or left grid line is red or blue then use your left and right arrow keys to move the red or blue line.  You want each line to be pure white on each grid point.  This should be done at minimum twice a year and do this only after the TV has warmed up (30 minutes or so).  Doing it any sooner, will do nothing for you, because after the TV has warmed up, your calibrations may still be off.  When all grid points are pure white, then just hit "Menu" again and your screen will return to normal.

I would also buy a calibration disc like Avia or DVE or Sound and Vision Home Theater Tune up disc, to adust the Contrast, Hue, Tint, Color, Brightness and Sharpness so that you get the best picture for your room.
