Service Pack 3, Windows XP, will nor install, access denied, does anyone know why? ?

Apart from any of you telling that Windows is ****, what is the problem and how do I update this patch.

I had this on my laptop, while it worked OK on my PC.

It is a pain because you have to go into safe mode and it takes a long time. I've seen posts saying it's down to spybot s&d but I had this installed on my PC as well as my laptop and had no problems with the update on my PC.

I'll have a stab in the dark - Windows Genuine Advantage hasn't been activated.

On a computer i know, it said that becuase it was a illeg*l copy of windows xp so it did not work. If your copy is not illegal try defragmenting your computer, cleanup, virus scan. somthing might work
