My daughter is in Italy on a study abroad (Italy). Her laptop started having power problems where the USB ports will die (wireless mouse, jump drives will not read). An error message stating that, "The device you are trying to use might require all the available power yourUSB can provide. Make sure the port has enough power." Is it possible that the power supply is going bad? Are the USB ports dying? We checked the ports under Control Panel and they all say they are running properly.
I already have a service call in with an authorization to reimburse the repair, but there is no computer service center in Cortona, Italy. She really needs this laptop for CAD classes she is taking.
Can we shut down services? I know the power is a little different over there also. Could this be contributing to the problems?
Thanks, Clark Bourne
