Service code 1

Question

My s****. runs for about 30 secs. and then stops and I get a red 1 in the Service section. Technical support said the vacuum has failed and there is nothing that can be done to fix it. Does ANYONE have a solution to this? I have only used this machine about 12 times in the last year but my warranty has expired. I am NOT a happy camper.
