Serving opinions?

Ok, I am having a kids party this weekend and we are serving BBQ hot dogs. Well the park we are going to does not have BBQ's nearby the place we will be at and the park will not allow us to bring our own BBQ on the premises. So we wanted to BBQ hot dogs at home, put them one of those metal serving dish things and bring it to the park like that along with the buns, and condiments.

My mom was appalled by the idea saying it was tacky and the hot dogs would get cold. Well personally I thought it was fine since if you go to a restaurant for take out, its the same thing. They cook it and then ackage it for you to bring it home and eat it. I have eaten hot dogs before that have came off the grill like 20minutes before and still enjoyed it.

What do you think?

  1. DO WHAT TX2STEP SAID

  2. If you wrap them individually in foil, it would be just like at the ballpark! ....  You might be able to find some of those insulated fabric food carriers (they usually hold a 9x13" pan), which keep food hot for hours.  You could lay the wrapped hot dogs in buns in that, and it'd be easier to carry and look nice to serve out of.  Bed, Bath & Beyond or Linen & Things may have them;  maybe even Walmart.....
