  1. Not sure if it meets your travel needs, but I have found that actually Hershey seems to work well for that age (a little old for sesame, too short for a lot of the rides at Dorney).  If that doesn't work, I would go with Dorney because of the water park.

  2. It depends on your kid. If their into big people rides and water fun and dont mind walking around then I would definitely go with Dorney Park. That is my absolutely favorite park. They even have the kiddie area for them to play around in an the game area. Sesame place is ok too, I took my twin lil sisters there when they were 7 and they thought it was fabulous! They got their faces painted and werent scared to go on any of the rides but there was two of them to go on together at sesame the adults cant really go on the rides. Dorney you may have more of a chance doing the bonding thing and being able to have fun together. Either way it will be a fun day for the kid. Just depends on what they would be more comfortable with. Goodluck!

  3. Sesame Place!

I'm 16 and still love it there.

The lazy river is my best friend!

  4. I did Dorney with my two kids last month and did Sesame Place last week. Of the two they enjoyed Dorney more as there were more water slides that were more thrilling to them.

IMO, I like them both but for the price Dorney I think is the way to go. Sesame Place with AAA you get $5 off and with coupons I've seen $6 off.  The price to get into Sesame Place is around $50.00 per person and Dorney is $37 per person for two parks.

  5. sesame street

  6. Dorney Park offers so much more, even for a 7 year old.

  7. I've been to both.  I really hated Sesame place.  It was majorly crowded and the people were kind of rude.  I had a 2, 7, 11 yr old with me.  Adults were pushing my 2yr old out of the way to get to the water.  It was really ridiculous. Also, unless it is really hot, there aren't many "rides" there that don't involve water.  I think the 7yr old will be kind of bored.  I love Dorney Park.  It is clean, and must be well managed, because I've really never encountered a big crowd.  There is a huge picnic area under a tent to bring your own lunch.

  8. Dorney Park. He is a little too old for Sesame Place. He will like the water park and rides at Dorney. Sesame Place is best for kids who enjoy watching Sesame Street.

  9. Probably Sesame Place, but I think it's highly overrated. Honestly, I think a 7 year old would prefer Dorney.

  10. If you're taking the seven year old ask what they'd prefer then go to the one you know is right for the seven year old and where you'll be able to supervise the situations that are likely to arise there's no point going to be tortured by a seven year old who will want all they're not allowed and resent you for stopping their enjoyment.Best you make the decision and take safety as the main concern for best enjoyment.
