Set To Music tuned up for Pinnacle Stakes challenge
Set To Music seems to be well-tuned for the mega challenge of Grosvenor Casinos Pinnacle Stakes, a Group 3 contest that is going to be held at Haydock racecourse on Saturday, June 2. The race of the fillies and mares will commence at 3:10 (GMT).
The Michael Bell-trained bay filly owns a decent track record. Of his total 10 starts, the four-year-old veteran sprinter has marvellously won four.
Interestingly, all her four victories came in a row from June 12 to August 18, 2011. This fabulous purple patch boosted up the fantastic filly’s morale to a great extent.
Following these epic feats, the brilliant daughter of Danehill Dancer out of Zarabaya went on to finish as a runner-up in DFS Park Hill Stakes on September 8. The talented sprinter grabbed 6th position in her last start on May 17, 2012.
The Irish runner is awash with winning impetus at the moment. For the sake of the prize money worth £31,191, she will compete against 10 competitors such as Dorcas Lane, Goldplated, Jehannedarc, Khawlah, Mohedian Lady, Molly Malone, Myplacelater, Polygon,
Primevere and Shimmering Surf.
All these runners are set to show their guts on the Good course of 1 mile, 3 furlongs and 200 yards.
Despite the fact that Set To Music looks to be the strongest runner, Khawlah can give her enough tough time in the race.
Khawlah’s track record is also impressive. The Saeed Bin Suroor-trained bay filly has won 3 of her total 6 starts to date. The talented young runner bagged a couple of consecutive victories on February 24 and March 26, 2011. She moved on to finish 7th
in her last outing on May 6, 2012.
In this situation, there is likely to be a tough tug of war between Khawlah and Set To Music.
Along with these two fillies, Molly Malone is also likely to do well in the Stakes. From August 27 to November 29, 2011, the M. Delzangles-trained bay filly achieved one triumphs and two runner-up ranks in a row. She finished first again in her second last
outing on April 13, 2012.
Thus, there is going to be a rip-roaring clash in the event. Let us enjoy the fantastic action.
