Set dancing/ceilidh dancing in Ireland?

I love irish set dancing and ceilidh dancing, and I'm hoping to go to dances when I study in Galway next fall. Do college-age people generally still attend those kinds of dances? Are there any annual ones in Galway? Thanks for any help you can give me!!
