Hi

Suppose you have a line l that intersects line m. B is a point on line l and C is a point on line m.

1. Line AB ∩ Line AC = ?

I wrote: {A}

2. Line AB ∩ Line BC = ?

That I'm not too sure of. There is no line BC, so I wrote ∅ (null-set). But what if they wanted me to imagine a line through B and C? I'm torn between null-set and B.

Please help me: tell me if I got number 1 write and help me with number 2.

Thanks.

  1. I think you have to place point A on some line, then draw the lines needed. I think A is the first answer and B is the second
