Set top box with normal channels?

Do all set top boxes get normal channels as well as digital channels?

Because normal channels arn't coming through on my set top box but i get them on the TV with good reception.

Some please explain how to fix it or what's wrong?

  1. the wapping 5 "Terestrial channels" are broadcast in UK by analogue and digital. The freeview will only display the digital channels.

    personally, i think they are making a BIG mistake supposedly, in 2012 when they switch to full digital.

    You need a good arial for digital. That leaves the people like me who only have an inside arial in the bedroom with very bad signals. Unwatchable!!!!


  2. If it's anything like my set top box, I only get the High Definition and Standard Definition channels. My box will NOT receive the old analogue signals that some channels (particularly university/community channels)  still use. Happy viewing

  3. What you mean by normal channels??? Because depending on where you live in Australia you may not be able to pick up Channel 10 without a set top box.
