Set will not operate?

Question

I was watching the set when a slight but audible pop was heard, then the set went off. I tried several times to restart to no avail via the remote and the on-off button on the set. I then removed the back and uplugged the set. I noticed that after a brief time when the set was plugged back a group of green LED's came on briefly followed by another then they all went back off. This also appeared when a possible audio sound was heard. The set is a Hitachi Model # 55UX58B purchased in April of 2000.
