Question:

Setting Up Multi Zone on DENON AVR3806?

I am having trouble using the Multi Zone feature. According to DENON I can use the Surround Back channel, if not being used, to be assigned as the Speaker level output for Zone2. I have the Power Amp assign to Zone2 and the speakers are connected to the Surround Back channel. I have Zone2 power On, and the source selected, but I am not getting any sound at all. Anyone have this receiver or one similar with the same capability? Any ideas?

  1. Did you rase the volume?

The Volume is set to off by default. You have to rase the volume while the receiver is in zone 2 select mode or from the remote while it's in zone 2 mode.

If thats not your problem... Did your run analog audio from each device you want to use for Zone 2.

Zone 2 doesn't convert the digital audio to go out Zone 2. So you have to run Analog audio (the Red and White RCA cables).

Let me know how thing's work out. I use these receiver's every now and then. That should take care of your problem.
