Setting siblings bedtime?

I am 17. I have three younger siblings an 11 year old sister (entering sixth grade), a 13 year old brother (entering 7th grade), and a fifteen year old brother (sophomore). While my dad is gone for the week, I take care of them. What should their bedtimes be?

Don't they have regular bedtimes to start with?? If it is school figure

a/ what time do they have to be up to get ready to get to school on

time b/ they need 8 to 9 hours sleep. so figure half an hour to fall asleep and add 8 or 9 hours onto that and go from there.

People usually need eight - nine hours of sleep, so find out what time they all need to be up at and count back eight or nine hours. If they all need to be getting up at six, then they need to be going to bed at nine or ten.

what time is school for them? the 11 and 13 year old 10 p.m.

the fifteen year old 11p.m.

unless they aren't motivated to get up or seem tired in the mornings, then i would move it back an half hour or so

If it's during a school week try to get the two youngest ones in bed by 9, whether or not they fall asleep quickly. At least they'll be resting and will shortly fall asleep.

Your 15 year old brother SHOULD be in bed by 10-11 at the latest. The computer and t.v. should be off too. It's always best for younger ones to rest well before going to school.

If they're still on vacation or it's a Friday or Saturday, allow 1 hour extra so they feel that you're being reasonable and nice. :)

What are their normal bedtimes?  These ages require at the least 7 hours but preferably more to get the proper amount of rest.  Are they in school and what time do they get up ?  I have a 12 year old and she goes to bed at 9p during the school week and 11p on weekend and my 17 year old has to retire to room by 10p but be to bed by 11p during school week and he stays up late on weekends.
