Setting the fin system into wet glass?

how do you get the write angle % to stay when putting in the fin system into wet glass

I have been around glass in a serious way for decades and worked in a hardware store for 9 years and I have no idea what you mean by a fin system or what you mean buy "into wet glass"   Need more information, maybe a link to image showing product or goal.
