Setting time and date on my Cartier Pasha watch.

Just bought a used 37MM Cartier Pasha watch. Have no instructions on how to set time. When I unscrew the crown a little and try to pull the s***w under-neath up it won't move. I'm afraid to tug too hard because I'm not sure thisis what I should be doing. Help!!!!
