Setting up Ftp site using PHP?

Hi,

I have installed WAMP server and its working fine. The site i am developing needs FTP to transfer huge files. Should i have to install a FTP server? Or Can i use WAMP itself? Kindly guide me.

Install an FTP server. It's much faster than HTTP for transferring large files.

well depends where you are transferring files to.

If to/from remote computer. Remote computer must have ftp server installed.

Then from client computer, you can use an ftp client like cuteftp.

You need an ftp server. you will need extremely good security, ftp posting is huge risk.
