Question:

Setting up a JSI Home Theater System to Westinghouse TV.?

I have a 720p Westinghouse television and a JSI Digital Home Theater System. The speakers on the system are plugged in correctly because it works when I try playing FM/AM Radio or a DVD, however I cannot get it to come out of the speakers when watching television or using my PS3. I have tried plugging the RCA cables from the Audio Out in the back of the television to the Audio In in the back of the system receiver but we are picking up no sound...any ideas on how to make this work?

  1. So it might be the Home Theater System, The TV, or the audio cables.  Try hooking up a standalone DVD or VCR into the Audio in on the JSI, to eliminate the TV.  Get out a flashlight and look carefully at the back of the units and make sure you are hooked into the correct ports, and that you have the correct mode selected on the JSI.  Some TV's require you to turn on the Audio output in the menu.
