Setting up a gold fish tank

Question

I have set up my goldfish tank and added water safe, should I let my tank settle for a week before buying any fish.

I have tropical fish and was just wondering if goldfish needed their tank to settle before adding fish like what I did with my tropical fish.

yea put the special anti chlorine stuff and anti bacterial stuff to make it safe then leave it for a week minimum

just to be safe, yes you should wait at least a week.

just make sure you have a filter and a proper sized tank.

first of all, i would buy any other kind of freshwater fish, then goldfish..i have 75gallon freshwater fish take. i had goldfihs..., i will say that they are the most durties fish in the world.. i had to clean my tank every other day..., if i missed it..water would start truning yellow..., which is bad. since they have died my tank water is cleaner then ever...im tellin you the because, you havn't bought fish yeat.

The only reason people tell you to let your tank settle is because they think the tank will start to cycle in that time, it will not. A tank can not cycle without ammonia, ammonia comes from fish. So your tank will not start to cycle until you have your fish in it, so leave it for about 2 days just to come to perfect temperature, then buy your fish and put them in. However you will need to do frequesnt water changes at first to keep the cycle under control.

Yes u can keep ur tank settled for a week, but u need to cycle the aquarium because goldfish are very messy creatures so if u dont cycle they will die if u want to know how to cycle the aquarium like the nitrogen cycle which is very important then visit this website: www.fishlore.com

Buy aquarium filter, heater (not needed but needed if ur country is cold), airpump for oxygen. A very good filter is needed for removing goldfish wastes and buy a large aquarium for long term benefits for example: of u buy 2 small goldfish in a 10 gallon tank they will soon grow to 10-12 inches and u wouldnt have much space to keep them so buy a 100 gallon tank for atleast 10 different kinds of goldfish if u want u can keep 15 goldfish as well.

Yes let the tank settle but the instructions that come with the tank will tell you how long to let the water settle.
