Create a dummy magazine so you have something to show them when you first go in. Prepare a nice demographic chart based on your circulation list you are planning on using.

Hire a WORKING sales manager that will not only be in charge of any salespeople you hire in the future but will also sell ads in the beginning.

There are some great books you should pick up on starting a magazine.

If you aren't a salesman or have someone that is you are going to lose a lot of money in the beginning getting this off the ground. Be prepared for that. Most magazines don't make it.
