Setting up a spinning reel? I don't understand where the line goes from the spool around on the bail part.

I don't quite understand where the line from the spool goes between the bail and the end of the rod.Do I wrap it around something on the bail? It's a Shakespeare reel with the Ezcast thingy on the bail part.I've read website after website but I still don't understand how to get it set up in the first place.Very simple step by step instructions would be great! Thanks.

With the bail closed the line passes underneath it and then on to the first guide on the rod.  There is usually a little cylinder that helps smooth out the contact with the line at the corner of the bail, but not always.  Thread your line out with the bail in the closed position and it should be pretty self-evident.
