  1. better to choose any village near vizag a fast developing cosmopolitan city you can enjoy  besides carry on your future ideas

  2. Where are you originally from in India?

Bangalore is pretty expensive, yes. But then if your husband works for an IT company or something like that, it shouldn't be a problem. Bangalore is one of the fastest growing cities in India. And also one of the most culturally diverse. There are people from all over the world there. Also, since you guys earn in dollars, the conversion should help you with the initial expenses, and help you till you get a new job, etc, etc. you might not get to own a house immediately, but there are wonderful apartments in Bangalore which you can stay in. Do some more research on the job opportunities and all that.

Otherwise, Kolkata is the safest city I know. Living is pretty cheap in Kolkata. It is also very culturally diverse, again with people from all over the world can be found here. But then again, this can be said about any cosmopolitan city in India. The only drawback about Kolkata are the job opportunities.

One of the best things I like about both Kolkata and Bangalore is that its safe for women to travel alone, even late nights.

Good luck with the move! hope you get to come back, and hope your transition is smooth.

  3. it depends on what are going to do while in India. Do u have to work or are retired people with sufficient funds to live a peaceful retired life. If you hubby or u have to work to make a living, then it would depend on where u or yourhubby can find a job. But if this the second case ( no need to work ) think about Pune. good climate all round the year and a very very peaceful and beutiful city. Bangalore has become too cosmopolitan and crowded. not worth living there any more.

  4. I would like suggest to you that  Jaipur is a best city as per your perference,

  9. Congratulations for your decision to settle in India.  I am from Pune and think for you it is the best option. It is a fast developing city and culturally rich. There are many such couple who are from different countries and say that they are comfortable here in Pune. Job opportunities are also best. For education of children is the best.  It is nearer to Mumbai about 3-4 hr road journey.  So try to come to Pune. If you want to know some more info please feel free to ask.

  10. Vadodara, Gujarat. there is a small village about 10km west from main city called Bill, it is beautiful. i also live in USA right now, after i retire i am planning to live there.
