Settling an auto accident without insurance?

Someone hit my car in the parking lot and he wants to pay for my repairs without going through his insurance. Is this wise?

Just get their insurance info just in case and get some estimates to come up with a price you both can agree on.  If they want to pay personally then go with it.  You know the more we all do this when we can it will keep everyone's premiums just a little lower.

What if you take him up on it, take your car in for repairs & they find more damage....you then have a problem.

If you have insurance coverage, you pay a premium for situations like this.  Handling it on your own always turns out for the worse.

Be smart, use your insurance!!

No it is not wise.  What will you do after he "slips" you some money and then you find some hidden damage to your car or that you wake up some morning with a bad back caused by the accident ?

Never do this !  Always call the police and always notify your insurance company......ALWAYS!
