  1. 1) As long as you stay out of Scarborough schools are generally good.

    2) That is really a personal choice. I suggest mls.ca. You can set up parameters and see what types of residences you can get in different areas for that price. Personally I would only live downtown in the financial district but for someone with a family I'd say the Beaches are often popular. Just stay out of Scarborough. I'd look at where you plan to work and use that as a way to select where to live.

    3) No idea. I don't work. My friends are all employed and I've never heard anyone complain but I think it is a matter of what type of job you are looking for and what qualifications you have.

  2. 1) Generally most of the schools are good schools in Toronto.

    2) Some of the Good Areas to purchase a home would be Etobicoke, Rouge Hill, Richmond Hill. Places closer to the city are wayy more expensive but thats already a given.

2a) I live in Pickering which is the suburb directly East of the city, it's the first city across the Toronto boundary. Pickering is a pretty good place to live, I grew up in Toronto's West End and moving here is very different. The population is about 100,000 and its pretty safe. The schools are pretty good and city hall is nice. There is a big mall called the Pickering Town Centre, and overall its a really good place to raise a family. One area that I do not reccomend is a neighbourhood called "Parkway:" Everywhere else though is great! Even Parkway ;)
