Seung Chan Shin and So Hee Lee claim Women’s Doubles title at India International Challenge
Korea’s talented shuttlers Seung Chan Shin and So Hee Lee lived up to the expectations as they delivered superb performance and won the Women’s Doubles title at the Tata Open India International Challenge 2012 on Sunday, December 16, in India.
In the final battle, Seung Chan and So Hee had to work extra hard to beat India’s Aparna Balan and Siki Reddy N. in a thrilling contest that took 60 minutes of entertaining badminton.
The top seeded Seung Chan and So Hee put in extra effort in the title match and they remained successful in winning this battle in rubber games against the second seeded Aparna and Siki with a reasonable score on the board.
On the contrary, the lower ranked local shuttlers delivered a scintillating performance in the opening game but failed to put up strong show in the following games with and lost the match with a respectable margin.
In the opening game, the Indian ladies played with tremendous precision and remained successful staying in control until the end of opening half.
After the break, the higher ranked Korean shuttler tried their best to put up strong show but they failed to take charge of rallies and eventually lost the opening game with a close 19-21 score on the board.
However, Seung Chan and So Hee delivered superb performance in the second game as they played with remarkable precision and managed to stay ahead at the initial stage.
The higher ranked Korean players displayed their remarkable skills in the arena as they played with remarkable speed and stayed in complete command of rallies until the end of opening half.
After the break, Seung Chan and So Hee played with tremendous precision and did not spare any chance for their rivals to fight back in the game.
The in-form Korean shuttlers did not reduce the pace of game at any stage and easily took the second game with a staggering 21-13 score on the board.
In the final set, the incredible Seung Chan and So Hee played with superb speed in the arena and remained successful in setting up a remarkable lead until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute break, the Korean players continued putting up stunning show and they remained successful in winning the set with a reasonable 21-17 score on the board.
The impressive Seung Chan and So Hee emerged as the winner of Women’s Double title as they defeated their Indian opponents in three games with an interesting margin of 19-21, 21-13 and 21-17.
